| On Friday, September 28, 2012 At 20:21 hrs the North Babylon Fire Co. was alerted to a motor vehicle accident at the corner of Manhattan Avenue and Little East Neck Rd with sector car on scene confirming a Hurst Tool request. Upon the arrival of Heavy Rescue 1-8-5 and Engine 1-8-2 the the Jaws of Life (Hurst Tool) was put to work and the trapped person was removed from the car, by opening and removing the drivers door. A total of 2 people were transported with non life threatening injuries to a nearby hospital by Rescues 14 and 17. All units were under the command of Assistant Chief Tom Jordan. |
