Suffolk County Wildfire Mutual Aided to Ridge/Manorville

On Monday, April 9th, 2012 at 15:15, The North Babylon Fire Company was activated for a mutual aid to the Ridge Fire Department for a Major Brush Fire. Stump Jumper 1-8-13 responded to the staging area at the Suffolk County Fire Academy. At 16:10 the North Babylon Fire Company was again activated for an engine to respond for assistance also. Engine 1-8-2 responded. Both the crew on the brush truck and on the engine worked inside the fire zone for several hours. After a long fight, the crews from North Babylon were released.
