On Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 8:13am the North Babylon Vol. Fire Company was alerted by Babylon Central Fire Alarm of a reported vehicle fire at Deer Park Avenue and Sunrise Highway on the overpass. First arriving engine 1-8-2 began the initial attack with the crews from engines 1-8-1 and 1-8-8 right behind to assist with the extinguishment of the vehicle. All units were under command of 1st Assistant Chief John Caroleo. No injuries were reported and all units were back in service in 30 minutes.
