On Thursday May 12, 2016 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm the North Babylon Fire Company has set up a "SHED THE MEDS" program for all residents to come down and safely dispose of all unused or expired medications and covered hypodermic needles.

They will be set up in the parking lot of our fire headquarters at 20 Hale Road on the North Babylon High School side of the building.

Participating in the programs is easy; residents will be able to drive up, drop off their old or unused medications, and drive away. All collected medication will be safely disposed of by the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department.

Safe disposal of these medications and needles will help protect the environment and eliminate the risk of getting into the hands of small children or those who might misuse them.
