On January 23, 2013 at approximately 7:15pm the North Babylon Vol. Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle fire to the rear of Waldbaums on Sunrise Highway and Hubbards Path by Babylon Central Fire Alarm. First arriving units were Assistant Chief Caroleo and Assistant Chief Harrington who were met with a fully involved vehicle fire. First arriving engine 1-8-2 began to extinguish the fire but were met with difficulties by the extreme cold and a full gas tank. All units were under command of Assistant Chief Caroleo and were released at 9:00pm with no injuries reported.
