Truck Fire

On Friday December 2,2011, at 7:30 A.M., the North Babylon Fire Company was activated for a Tractor Trailor Fire on the West Bound Sunrise Hwy, just West Of Rt 231. Chief Folise was the first arriving unit adv Engine 1-8-8 they had a fire on a flat bed truck with some euipment involved, possibly with a propane tank impinged by the fire. Engine 1-8-8 stretched there car fire length and extinguished the fire with assistance from the crew of Engine 1-8-3, there were no reported injuries and apears the fire started from the rear brakes of the truck but still under investigation at this time.
