Friday Night Working Fire

On Friday, January 27, 2017 at 8:41pm the North Babylon Fire Company was alerted by Babylon Central Fire Alarm of a residential structure fire. The location of the alarm was on Brookes Road.

Chief John Caroleo was the first unit on scene and confirmed an active fire on the second floor of the structure. The orders were given by Chief Caroleo to engine 1-8-4 to connect to a hydrant coming down the block.

With multiple units arriving on scene within seconds of each other an aggressive attack was made by all. The fire was deemed under control within 30 minutes from the time it was dispatched.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
